Sectioning Consumables

When speed and cut quality are both important, an abrasive machine is the right solution. Choose between manual and automatic machines to get the quality you need quickly and consistently.

Blades for Abrasive Cutters

Achieve efficient cutting with extended lifetime and minimal surface deformation using Buehler’s performance-proven abrasive blades, ranging from 9″ [229mm] to 18″ [457mm]. Our full line of abrasive blades includes both rubber bonded and resin bonded blades for high quality cutting. If you have an orbital cutting machine or would like to cut more delicate samples, we also offer orbital and precision blades for your abrasive cutter.

Blades for Precision Cutters

For your precision machines, Buehler offers diamond and CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) cutting blades, ranging from 3″ [76mm] to 8″ [203mm], when you need delicate and precise sectioning with superb surface quality. Buehler offers a wide range of blades for various materials so you can be confident that your sample will get the best possible cut. To use your precision saw to cut non-delicate samples, we also offer compatible abrasive blades.

Coolants

Effectively cool your sample to prevent heat damage with our water miscible and oil based coolants and lubricants.

Abrasive or Precision Blades for Your Process?

Buehler’s abrasive blades, made with either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide cutting particle, are designed to provide rapid and high quality sectioning results with minimal surface deformation in fast-paced environments. Precision blades, made with diamond or CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) cutting particle, are the ideal blade type when delicate and precise sectioning is needed and reduced surface damage is required.

Choosing A Blade for Your Abrasive Cutter

When you need efficient cutting with extended life, look no further than Buehler’s premium abrasive blades, designed for high efficiency cutting while extending blade life.

Choose our AcuThin^® series thin blades when you need a more precise cut with less surface damage and a thinner section of sample material removed.

If traditional abrasive blades are not delicate enough for your needs, turn to our Diamond blade offerings for abrasive machines, especially when cutting very hard and brittle materials.

Choosing A Blade for Your Precision Cutter

Buehler offers two types of precision blades, the IsoMet® series uses diamond abrasive while the IsoCut^® series uses CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) abrasive. This makes IsoMet blades ideal for a variety of applications while IsoCut blades excel at cutting ferrous materials.

To quickly cut non-delicate samples with your precision saw, choose from our selection of AcuThin^® abrasive blades. When using abrasive blades with your precision saw, it is highly recommended to combine with our external recirculation system (11-2640).
