A core part of our culture is to give back to the communities where we live and work. Our strongest partnerships are in education and human welfare including support for Junior Achievement and United Way. We recently added the opportunity for our employees to become mentors at the ITW David Speer Academy. The school’s mission is to prepare students from historically disinvested communities for the rigors of college and future careers in STEAM related fields. ITW supports Buehler’s culture of philanthropy with generous match programs enabling our employees to support causes that are personally meaningful.

Sustainability is important to Buehler and its employees. We continue to challenge ourselves to reduce our environmental impact adding new programs each year and planning for continuous improvement. Our comprehensive recycling program prevents 70,000 lbs. of carboard, plastic, paper, and metals from going to our landfills. Our electricity is 100% zero emission powered by solar (33%), hydroelectric (33%), and wind (34%). Even our lawn is serviced by electric robot mowers. Our future programs include updates to more efficient heating and cooling and transitions to LED lighting. In addition to our own facility, we share our knowledge with our customers with tips on creating a greener lab , and partner in developing solutions that are better for you and better for the environment.
