Improper prep-induced damage is a common preparation problem in the purer compositions. Extra care must be taken to prevent deformation during cutting and mounting.<br><br>Depending on the composition, processing and thermal treatment, the preparation method can change. As an example, with pure aluminum, the chances of abrasive particles embedding are higher than with other aluminum materials.
