Lake Bluff, IL… Buehler, a world leader in materials preparation and analysis, and announces that Lehigh University of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is a Buehler Partner Center. Lehigh is a premier university with research facilities dedicated to improving metal casting and heat treating.
This alliance centers on the opening of a new Lehigh materials laboratory that will provide students and faculty access to the full range of metallography equipment and analysis tools. It will also convey Buehler the knowledge, expertise and future research insights for the development of product innovations. The Buehler-Lehigh Partnership includes close collaboration for training, student projects and consulting opportunities for both organizations.
Dr. Laura Moyer, Lehigh’s Manager of Metallography in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Director of the International Metallographic Society explains, “The Department of Materials Science and Engineering, has been accredited since 1936. It offers one of the nation's leading materials science and engineering programs. With Buehler’s contribution the department Lehigh will continue to be a leader in the development of materials science. With direct access to the Buehler Partner Center, faculty and students will be able to continue pioneering research in fields such as polymers, optics, nanotechnology and photonics.”
