PowerPro® & Apex® - The Complete System

The Buehler PowerPro Family are high performance, powerful, and versatile grinder-polishers. The powerful 2 HP (1800 Watt) base motor will grind and prepare even the most difficult materials to photo-ready specimens. This technically advanced system is the first table-top system to prepare specimens using the Zaxis™ Macro Controlled Removal System, is a unique feature that allows you to remove material by desired depth.

The PowerPro has the control to grind to a desired plane such as the center line of a part, fastener or weldment. Once there you can examine features and microstructure of interest. Zaxis is also useful when you want to do Microhardness Testing at a given depth. When paired with the Apex® DGD & DGD color discs, both accuracy and repeatability are at an optimum. Durable and easy-to-use, they provide superb edge retention and flatness. Together with the Apex M&B Quick Change Magnetic System and the ApexHercules, the Apex System offers a variety of consumables engineered to grind materials quickly, minimizing preparation steps and time.

The head height adjustment allows the PowerPro 5000 to be used with a wide variety of consumable systems of differing thicknesses. The PowerPro also prepares specimens in both Single and Central Force while offering a versatile selection of specimen holders and accessories for every application.
